***************************************************************

**Guido Schneider**

Guido Schneider has been producing electronic music for more than 10 years now. Strongly influenced by EBM he started his first project in 1991 with a friend; his first records released on SPV.

Changes marked the beginning of the new millennium: Guido closed down his label Neue Welten and met vocalist Florian Schirmacher. After their first joint studio session it became obvious that Guido‘s production and Florian‘s vocal skills would complement each other perfectly, and together they founded the project Glowing Glisses, under whose pseudonym they released 3 singles and the album ‘Silver Surfer’ on Poker Flat.

In 2002 Guido and Glowing Glisses joined Steve Bug, the Märtini Brös and Martin Landsky on the Poker Flat World Tour. Back in Germany, highly inspired, Guido began focusing on his solo project. His first Poker Flat single ‘Triple Bolted’ (pfr35) and the track ‘Moved’ showed Guido’s huge potential. Two 12″s followed in 2004: ‘Unterwegs mit Guido Schneider’ (pfr47) and ‘Oh My Buffer’ (pfr53). These two 12 inches finally put Guido on the map of internationally acclaimed producers.

Guido was also Steve Bug‘s first choice to remix his unstoppable classic ‘Loverboy’ for Poker Flat‘s 50th anniversary release. In 2005 Guido contributed the exclusive track ‘Las Cuerdas de Las Canarias’ to the ‘Poker Flat Volume Four’ album, alongside artists such as Steve Bug, Donnacha Costello, Argy and Jeff Samuel.

Recently, Gudio joined forces with his old friend Sammy Dee (Pantytec) again, with whom he had worked years ago as Schneider & Radecki. The result of this reunion was the Poker Flat 12″ ‘Styleways’ (pfr63), which also was licensed to Richie Hawtin’s ‘DE9: Transitions’ album.

As a DJ and producer of international demand, Guido Schneider currently tours top clubs around the world. The new album ‘Focus On: Guido Schneider’ is the next milestone in Guido’s carreer. It includes some of his best released tracks and mixes as well as some brand new songs and gives an exciting overview of his capabilities.

**FIORD**

Brothers, studio partners and seasoned producers whose achievements to date encompass 4 albums, a fruitful international touring career and an array of heavyweight productions spread across their three monikers Fiord, Antix and Triangle.

“The studio being our second home is our creative playground which gives us the confidence to work outside the square. The Fiord releases of late are hypnotic dance-floor monsters, we love to pack a punch and give people a thrill. The sound on the new Antix album tends to sway to the deeper emotional side with splashes of robotic funk and melancholic Indy dance. That’s the advantage of having so many projects, it allows us to evolve in many directions”

Hailing from New Zealand with a musical background rich with influences from Ritchie Hawtin to Rhythm and Sound, Barton and Hayden have such a plethora of inspiration.
It is indisputable that the quality of their music simply demands your attention. On their musical quest they continue to push new boundaries, mesmerizing audiences worldwide.

Check out their work, and you’ll hear why.

Chameleon Recordings Presents
KiNK “Best Of Both Sides Festival @ Lucky Coq (Up stairs)

We are delighted to announce that on Easter Holiday 7th April we welcome first gig KiNK to Australia with Best of both festival 2012 at Lucky Coq.

As we scratch our heads and wonder what happened to the summer that never came, all we can only look forward to the next big holiday on the calendar; Easter Weekend. there is plenty to look forward to and nothing more exciting than the annual Best of Both Sides Festival brought to you by Lucky Coq and Bimbo Deluxe Branded by their reputation of supporting Melbourne’s finest local talent, the iconic venues have asked Chameleon Recordings to showcase some of their finest to close out the seven day festival.

Steve Ward http://soundcloud.com/whoissteveward
Brad Daniels
Anri http://soundcloud.com/anrythm

□KiNK(Bulgaria)

Strahil Velchev a.k.a KiNK is an innovative, uncompromising producer, captivating dj and live performer from Bulgaria, incorporating in his record the very best examples of the electronic music with a KiNK twist. In his early teenage years he was raving on acid, techno, proto-hardcore and jungle. At 20 he got his hands on one of the first modular software synthesizers. At 27 he got his first vinyl released and few years later everybody who dig deeper for quality electronic music had heard of him.

KiNK is a multi-style producer, but in 2005 his first vinyl release on Chris Duckenfield’s Odori imprint placed him firmly in the frame of house and techno. In 2008 Strahil proto-house music project with Neville Watson recieve a worldwide recognition through their releases on the Dutch imprint Hour House is Your Rush. In the following two years KiNK (solo and with Neville) produced music for high profile labels like Rush Hour, Ovum, Poker Flat, Systematic, Mule Musiq, Get Physical, liebe*detail and others.

Strahil used to perform as a dynamic and skillful DJ mainly for Bulgarian audience till 2009, when due to a higher demand by the international club scene he decided to take a new challenge: finding a way to play his own music live. The Bulgarian artist found his live setup as a mixture of dusty analog gadgets and modern digital technology. KiNK performs with his machines in the same way as he play records – he is fast, busy, he takes risks and he is pushing his tools to the limit. KiNK played as a dj and live at some of the best spots for underground dance music in Sofia, Berlin, Munich, Hamburg, Hannover, Vienna, Stockholm, Copenhagen, Moscow, St. Petersburg, Tel Aviv, Amsterdam, Barcelona, Madrid, Rome, Turin, Bologna, Milano, London, Glasgow, Dublin, etc.

Backed by their Chameleons , Jamie Stevens Steve Ward and Anri as well as upcoming techno boy Brad Daniels , 7th of April, Luck Coq will be one to remember.
Entry is free and the beats kick off at 7:00pm.

Chameleon Recordings are back with our first label night of 2012.

We are very pleased to announce the long awaited return of one of the most incredible live melodic deep-techno producers on the planet: Aril Brikha.

Get tix @ Moshtix: http://www.moshtix.com.au/event.aspx?id=54126&ref=moshtix&skin

In 1998 Aril Brikha reacquainted the world with deep techno soul, as his record Groove La Chord crossed generic boundaries. Is it techno? Is it house? Is it deep house? It’s everything and nothing. Groove La Chord is simply timeless. No one was more surprised about the success of Groove La Chord than Brikha himself – after all, he’d originally presented it on his demo as a potential B-side. Two years after he recorded Groove La Chord, Brikha heard it in a club for the first time – Derrick May pulled it out in Chicago. From this point Brikha’s career flourished to include many outstanding Melbourne events including the last stellar performance 3 years ago with Chameleons good friend Joris Voorn.

Aril will be supported by Chameleon artists

Child Live
Steve Ward
Uone
Timmus
Dean Benson
MoodMachine
Bryce Lawrence

They are the outfit that techno fans look for to see the latest and highest profile artists from around the globe and experience the most exciting events on the Melbourne scene.

Now, Chameleon Recordings are taking the show on the road for their first ever event in Sydney. Bringing with them the much loved sound and vibe Melbourne fans have been thriving on they will be teaming up with Sydney’s finest local deep/tech-house and techno night Loosekaboose for a day party at the Greenwood Hotel.

And just to make sure they set a high standard from the get go, Chameleon Recordings are proud to present, Vince Watson (Planet E & Mule) live. Easily one of the best techno producers this planet has on offer, Vince will bring a live show to the Greenwood and if samples of his next EP release Sequential are anything to go by this will be a set not to be missed.

But if this isn’t enough and just to up the ante, Chameleon has lined up none other than techno juggernaut Egbert from Cocoon. Setting crowds alight across the globe with his pumping melodic techno, Egbert is one of the hottest names on bills presently and recently did a remix for Chameleon producers Jamie Stevens track Stubborn Seasons which received rave reviews. To round off the all-star line-up, rising Berlin young guns, Channel X (Still Vor Talent) will fit the bill with their brand of techno.

The party will have three rooms pumping with Turbo sound running throughout the venue. The second room will be a Loosekaboose haven, bringing you a line-up of Sydney’s best underground talent. With the décor provided by Chameleon this will have the look and feel that you’d expect from any Chameleon party. With three internationals and tickets only $30 this is an event you do not want to miss. Vince Watson live at the Greenwood Hotel, 11th December, proudly brought to you by Loosekaboose and Chameleon Recordings.

VINCE WATSON (Planet E, Bio)
His work caused a catatonic impact in the global electronic scene for setting a personal hypnotic perspective of groovy, melody and atmospheric sounds. He followed this up in with Moments in Time on New York’s legendary Ibadan label, along with Alola Records in the UK, gaining worldwide recognition as one of techno’s leading producers and live acts.

Two years later Watson released Echoes From the Future: View to the Past and Sublimina, demonstrating his diversity and dexterity by trying, successfully, to breathe new life into
electronica, and continued with The eMotion Sequence on Delsin. A sixth album was completed recently, Every Soul
Needs a Guide and will be Watson’s first jazz/brokenbeat album, adding another string to the bow of this versatile producer’s CV.

His own label, Bio Music, has consistently produced quality techno, with support and high profile licenses from the likes of Carl Cox to Laurent Garnier. A four years static period was reignited in 2009 with A Very Different World featuring FunkdVoid, with Kirk Degiorgio and Shawn Rudiman set for guest releases.

And like with his own productions, Watson has been keen to vary his output as label manager with the brandnew sister project, Everysoul. The new label will focus on versatility and creativity – Love in F Minor was released to great critical
acclaim.

Watson is currently working on his seventh studio album, as well as high profile remixes for John Beltran, Alexander Kowalski, Kirk Degiorgio, Funk D Void and Orlando Voorn, while he is also reworking his smash Mystical Rhythm,
featuring Naomi Thomson on vocals.

To date Vince Watson has released and is currently signed to the following labels, Tresor, Planet E, Everysoul, Delsin, Bio, Fcom,Ibadan, Mule and Urban Torque.

EGBERT live (Cocoon, Gem, Chameleon)
Egbert Van Der Gugten is currently one of the most promising talents within the field of electronic dance music.
Jeroen Verheij alias Secret Cinema, whose attention was drawn to Egbert via myspace.com, invited him on the spur of the moment to his parties and his studio last year, and thus smoothed the way for Egbert to the Dutch Techno scene.

After his debut on Lo-Fi Stereo, it was mainly his “Vlammen-EP” on Michel de Hey’s EC Records in February 2009, which went down a bomb on the dancefloors and belonged to the basic vinyl inventory of Sven Väth’s record case in this season. With “Vreugdevuur”, Egbert still tops this and provides Cocoon Recordings with a musical exclamation mark that sets standards in harmonic but consequently demanding TechHouse somewhere in between Dub, Progressive House and Detroit.

CHANNEL X live (Still Vor Talent, Upon You)
It was in 2005 when Andre and Mirko were first introduced to each other through mutual friends. It was from this point on that Channel X was formed. Channel X’s music can be found on such labels like Kassette, Still Vor Talent, Upon You and Sup Dub. Known for there powerful mixture of clicks, effects and pumping grooves, Channel X’s live sets consists of two laptops, a sampler, midi controllers and effects unit.

Steve Ward – ‘Footprints To a Forgotten World’ EP

___________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________
The rhythm of the gentle breeze triggers a feeling of familiarity. Like the calm before a storm, it evokes a sense of what’s to come but in this moment, a question of something felt once before. A paradox, standing at the crossroad of a mirrored path, the same, both forward and behind and as a single star graces the halcyon sky at dusk, a travelling stranger greets you hello.

Though new this friend may seem, you search your memory for the previous exchange of your last goodbye. Like souls intertwined, aged long before this present life, you smile in the simple comfort of their presence and as you bid farewell, goodbye old friend, you ponder the thought of an inherent history that lives deep within, beyond where your present mind will take you, to the very foundation of your soul.

For the past is the backbone of all things created and even though we naturally stray in the rigor of evolution, we are connected by the building blocks of that which will always remain. So for those who are lucky to be bestowed by that which came before, fear not when the path forward may be lost, the answers you need lie deep within along the footprints to a forgotten world.

Thankyou City – ‘The Riddle at Fortunes Pass’ EP
Remixes by Tom Clark & Fiord

Beatport Exclusive Click to purchase

The seduction begins with but a simple glance. Catching the eye of your heart and whispering into the ear of your soul. Alluring you along a path. A journey forward but confronting you with a journey deep within. Daring you to follow. A life long campaign that demands fortitude and challenges every fibre of your resolve. It lures you beyond the borders of your domain, tempting you at the chance of a boundless adventure. You invest heavily in what lies before you, in search of that place.

As your passion grows it can be crippling like a disease but enlighten you in the same breath. The cynics manoeuvre their pawns to deter you, corrupting the air with hesitation and polluting the streams in doubt. You make camp as night approaches under an abundant speckled sky and stoke the fire of your vision to warm your weary mind.

The truth in your heart speaks to you in your dreams and you awaken confident to brave whatever the new day will bring. And though the road forward can seem lonesome, inspiration watches you from afar, presenting itself in many forms, to remind you of why it has to be this way. As this is the trial of the journey, as you seek to conquer that calling from within.

For you surpassed the tests of yesterday to one day solve the Riddle at Fortune’s Pass

After taking the show on the road throughout Europe, we are keen to hear all the crazy tales and the killer sets put on by our favourite techno mercenaries, Uone, Jamie Stevens and Steve Ward.

To give them a warm welcome home, Chameleon Recordings has once again teamed up with Bimbo Deluxe to put on a Chameleon “Welcome Home” Party for the boys

Uone has spent the last five months overseas playing to crowds in Morocco, Portugal, Germany, Denmark, Czech Republic and Croatia. He has just released his debut EP Waterloo on Berlin label Sub Dub which has already received thorough playtime by the likes of Sascha Braemer, Daniel Dreier, Alfred Heinrichs, & Dan Caster. On top of that he also has upcoming releases on Australia label Open Records with a remix of Solead, Architonica, & Vibrating Balance remix of Autotune.

Jamie and Steve have done a 6 week whirlwind tour of Europe that has seen them play at shows in Berlin, Frankfurt, London, Portugal and the Netherlands as well as a pumping Chameleon Label Party in Berlin that tore the roof off.

Even though he’s been on the road, Jamie has an upcoming remix for Peter Horrevorts due out on Kasey Taylor’s Vapour imprint and has just released a remix of Rich Curtis’ Face Valued on Replug. Dave Seaman has licensed Jamie’s remix of Bitrok for his forthcoming Renaissance mix and is soon to be remixing Hernan Cattaneo and D-Nox & Beckers. Steve on the other hand has several releases locked in with Christian Smith’s Tronic Label and Bush records, an upcoming collaboration with techno heavy weights Psycatron, a remix to be released on famed cologne techno imprint Trapez and several other high profile remixes which we have to keep a bit hush hush so expect some groundbreaking news over the next 6 months with these two boys.

So rather than just let the lads relax at their return home party, we’ve decided to headline them and ask for a little taste of some of the insanity that they delivered whilst overseas. As a little kicker, Jamie and Steve have been perfecting a new live performance concept whilst on their tour named “3d loops” and will be revealed for the first time in Australia on the Welcome Home night.

This will be one not to miss…….. Uone, Jamie Stevens & Steve Ward @

12 Jun 2011 – Due to the renowned success of Showcase 001, Revolver Upstairs have put up their hand again to be a part of this monumental event. There is no doubt this will be an epic night. For the release of Fate of the Modern Architect, he is Jamie Stevens, and this is Showcase 002.

Jamie Stevens is a name associated with the production of quality dance floor music. As one of the founding members of renowned Australian outfit, Infusion, he has tasted success both locally and around the Globe. Of late, he has embarked on a new course, as a solo artist for prevalent Australian label, Chameleon Recordings. The opportunity with Chameleon has given him the freedom to evolve his trademark sound and be in total control of the final product. After much anticipation, he recently released his debut solo EP; Fate of the Modern Architect. Within days of its release it was already receiving high praise from some the world’s most influential producers with one of the tracks, Stubborn Seasons, currently sitting at #53 on the Beatport techno charts.

As the final piece to top off a quality release, Jamie has spent countless hours meticulously crafting a live experience for Fate of the Modern Architect. Combining his notoriously high energy performances, Jamie has arranged a killer two hour live set specifically for his first release party at Showcase 002.

To present what could be one of the best live techno sets for 2011, and off the back of one of the best parties of 2010, Chameleon Recordings presents Showcase 002. In celebration of a great career to date and the debut EP release of their friend and colleague, Showcase 002 will not only headline Jamie Stevens and his first ever live set as a solo artist but, as always, feature supporting acts from some of Australia’s most exciting home grown talent. Those who have caught the eye of the international scene and along with Jamie are paving the way for a new standard that this country has to offer.
